Okay, so you have a website that you regularly maintain, that is about something very unique, and you have some readers if not many readers, but you have no revenue coming into your pockets from you website and you want to know how to make some money?

The amount of ad-revenue that you can and will make from your website depends on a bunch of factors and so don’t get your hope up too high yet.

Basically how it all works is as follows, you sign up for Google’s Adsense program which will require you to provide all sorts of information. After you have placed the ad codes in your website, Google will scan your website for context and will begin serving ads that are relevant for your website’s content. If you want to control your website’s advertisers there is a setting in the Admin Control Panel at Adsense to do this.  A lot of webmasters do this to drive up the revenue on their websites.

Google is always changing or improving it’s algorithms for ranking websites and so webmasters are always chasing after these latest changes like a dragons tail in order to be on top of making their websites top the rankings, but the funny thing is this, that all of them know that the hands down, the sure fire unbeatable way of getting to the top of Google’s rankings and making money from the traffic is simple and obvious, it is by making a lot of popular, original textual content everyday and aggregating it. This is why news websites and information websites like Microsoft  or like Wikipedia always rank at the top always.

So how much money can you make from your website? Sadly it is next to impossible to guess without knowing so many specifics about your website, however let me put it this way, let’s say that you have an article about dingle-berries that you publish today and it gets picked up by the Internet in a viral way and you end up with 1,000,000 readers  to  your article within hours, and your Google ad spot on that article is displaying ads that are let’s say, paying $1.00 per click per IP, and the ads are good looking and captivating and relevant, and 100,000 people click on the ad, then you conceivably will make 100,000 dollars.
